ABOUT BOBBY

Anyone who knows Bobby, knows two distinct things about him… He loves God, and he loves people… especially little people. Still, adopting as a retiree was nowhere on his radar… that was until JM was placed in his life as part of a summer hosting program. During their time spent together, JM and Bobby developed a close bond, but Bobby was told that, according to Hague-Regulations, he was too old to adopt internationally. When JM returned to his home country, however, he let them know that he wanted Bobby and Chester to adopt him… Chester is Bobby’s dog. So, without hesitation, Bobby started the process of bringing JM back to the US as his son. 

Having been a single father of his now three adult sons, as well as being an educator with over 40 years of experience working with children and teens, and a heart full of love, Bobby is well-suited to be the dad JM wants and needs. 
 

As Bobby puts it… “I chose to have JM for the summer, but then he chose to have me for the rest of his life.”
